Estudo da investigação académica centrada nas iso 9001: análise retrospetiva, temas centrais e tendências

As normas para a certificação de sistemas de gestão da qualidade têm sido adotadas por um número crescente de organizações em todo o mundo. Este estudo procede a um mapeamento das publicações científicas académicas centradas na certificação de sistemas de gestão da qualidade. Mais precisamente, o artigo procura investigar a evolução da investigação centrada na ISO 9001, analisando a estrutura intelectual e tendências de investigação, relativamente a aspetos como autores, revistas, instituições, enfoque core dos artigos, as metodologias utilizadas, entre outros. Para o efeito, procedeu-se a uma revisão sistemática da literatura centrada nas publicações da base de dados online da WEB of Knowlege (Current contents). Analisou-se um total de 1.010 artigos identificados e cumprindo os critérios da pesquisa (efetuada em 10 Março de 2014). O estudo permite esclarecimentos quanto às principais linhas de investigação que representam a estrutura intelectual dominante,
assim como à sua evolução ao longo do tempo, identificando as principais conclusões e avanços conseguidos, gaps e tendências de investigação futuras.

Luís Mendes, after a previous participation in the European Doctoral Program in Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management (Barcelona – Spain and Växjö – Sweeden), received his Ph.D. degree in Business Administration from the University of Beira Interior (Portugal). Since 2005, he has been workingas Professor of Quality Management, and Production/Operations Management. His research papers have appeared in refereed international journals and conferences, addressing issues such as human resources
strategic approaches in managing change, and drivers in manufacturing flexibility and its influence inperformance.
Luís Lourenço received both his Ms and Ph.D. degrees in Industrial Management at University of Clemson, South Caroline, USA. As Associate Professor at University of Beira Interior he has been teaching in fields such as Quality Management, Production and Operations Management, and Statistics, among others. His research papers have appeared in a few refereed international journals and conferences, and his recent research interests include research and development in the field of Total Quality Management and Business Excellence Models.
