Nos dias de hoje, os elevados padrões de Qualidade estão de tal forma intrínsecos nas organizações que a população pensa saber o seu real significado, assim como pensam reconhecer a sua capacidade de identificar a Qualidade em qualquer produto ou serviço que utilizem. Desta forma, a necessidade de melhorar continuamente os processos de negócio, que as organizações utilizam para se aproximarem do cliente, é cada vez mais uma urgente.
Contudo, o facto de haver uma versatilidade dos negócios, e a cada vez maior dinâmica e diversidade, obriga a que as redes de comunicação entre organizações esteja mais uniformizadas, sendo que a competição é cada vez maior e os níveis de exigência para com estas também.
Desta forma, a constante necessidade de estar conectado com o cliente, e a capacidade de satisfazer as suas necessidades, de forma cada vez mais eficiente, são fatores de criação de valor para a organização, e consequente aumento da sua vantagem competitiva.
David Vilamariz is newly graduated Master of Industrial Engineering and Management from the Faculty of Science and Technology of Universidade NOVA de Lisboa. His Master’s Thesis was developed under a traineeship in Organization Management and Development Area of the EDP – Distribution. It is currently an intern at Contracting and Switching Area of the EDP – Commercial Solutions.
Helena V. G. Navas is Professor of Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, Faculty of Science and Technology, Universidade NOVA de Lisboa and Researcher in UNIDEMI – Unit for Research and Development in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering. APC representative on the Technical Standardization Committee on Research Activities, Development and Innovation (RDI). She is a researcher, consultant and trainer in Innovation, Systematic Innovation and TRIZ.
V. Cruz Machado is Full Professor, President of the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, Faculty of Science and Technology, Universidade NOVA de Lisboa, Coordinator of UNIDEMI – Unit for Research and Development in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, President of IPEI – Portuguese Institute of Industrial Engineering. He is researcher, consultant and trainer in Lean, Lean thinking & philosophy, Lean Management, Lean Supply Chain Management, Lean & Green Systems, Strategy Deployment & Honshi Kanri.
