A qualidade da formação e qualificação profissional: uma avaliação empírica do SERVQUAL

Com o presente artigo pretende-se avaliar as percepções e expetativas dos formandos de uma escola de ensino profissional, de nível secundário, com certificação escolar e com qualificação profissional de nível IV, em Évora, Alentejo, Portugal, relativamente à qualidade da formação e da qualificação profissional oferecida pela instituição. Para a recolha dos dados foram aplicados questionários, sendo que o instrumento SERVQUAL foi adaptado aos objectivos propostos. Os resultados mostraram que o modelo SERVQUAL representou um modelo apropriado para avaliar as dimensões subjacentes à qualidade dos serviços prestados e que este modelo tem potencial para vir a ser adotado como um instrumento relevante de gestão e de suporte de decisão da instituição.

Susana Alves Rocha has a Degree in Accounting and Taxation by the Higher School of Management and Technology of Santarém and a Master student in Management, specialized in Human Resources by the University of Évora. Her research interests are in the areas of Quality Management; Tourism; Organization and Administration of Firms; Accountancy.

Ana Sampaio has received an european Ph.D. from university of Extremadura– Spain, in 2007. Is now an Assistant Professor at the Mathematic Department of the University of Évora – Portugal and a Researcher of BRU-UNIDE/ISCTE-IUL. Her research interests are in the areas of Structural Equation Modeling (CV- SEM and PLS-SEM), Stochastic Frontier Analysis and Parametric Efficiency of Organizations and Latent Curve Modeling.

Margarida Saraiva has received a Ph.D. from the ISCTE Business School – Portugal, Lisbon in 2004. Is now an Assistant Professor at the Management Department of the University of Évora – Portugal and a Researcher of BRU-UNIDE/ISCTE-IUL. Her research interests are in the areas of Quality Management, Quality of Evaluation, Innovation and Quality, Organization and Administration of Firms.
