O Ensino Superior é cada vez mais uma área competitiva, que procura a excelência, mas que, simultaneamente, procura responder às necessidades da sociedade e do mundo laboral. Modelos de gestão da qualidade e até de responsabilidade social, definidos para outras realidades industriais ou empresariais, têm vindo a ser adaptados às instituições de ensino superior. Contudo, também existe a necessidade de se pensar em modelos específicos para o ensino superior, que permitam obter melhores resultados, quer de gestão, quer mesmo de monitorização e avaliação. É, neste sentido, que surge este trabalho de pesquisa, que tem como objetivo a análise da Filosofia da Gestão pela Qualidade Total (GQT) e da Responsabilidade Social (RS), através de uma proposta de criação de um modelo mais adequado às Instituições de Ensino Superior, baseado nas sinergias e nos aspetos comuns de ambas as temáticas. A GQT e a RS são inegavelmente duas dimensões cada vez mais associadas a organizações de qualquer tipo, incluindo instituições de ensino superior. Assim, acredita-se que os resultados alcançados com este trabalho respondam às questões da GQT e da RS associadas ao programa Erasmus+, que permitam consolidar o conhecimento sobre estas temáticas e criar um modelo integrado de GQT e de RS, alinhado com a agenda 2030 das Nações Unidas para os Objetivos de Desenvolvimento Sustentável (ODS), de modo a promover a sustentabilidade do programa Erasmus+.
Teresa Nogueiro has received a Master degree from the University of Évora – Portugal in 2008. She is a Project Manager at the National Agency Erasmus+ Education and Training – Portugal. Her research interests are in the areas of Quality Management and Social Responsibility.
Margarida Saraiva has received a PhD. from ISCTE Business School – Portugal in 2004. She is currently Assistant Professor at the Management Department of the University of Évora – Portugal and researcher at BRU-UNIDE/ISCTE-IUL. Her research interests are in the areas of Quality and Management.
Fátima Jorge has received a PhD from the University of Évora – Portugal in 2003. She is currently Assistant Professor at the Management Department of the University of Évora – Portugal and researcher at CICP. Her research interests are in the areas of Organisational Behaviour, Human Resources Management and Ethics and Social Responsibility in Organisations.
