Ações Práticas para Mitigar a Evasão de Cursos de Graduação em Instituições de Ensino Públicas Brasileiras
A evasão no ensino superior é uma questão global influenciada por variáveis sociais, financeiras, emocionais e institucionais, exacerbada pela pandemia de COVID-19. Isso gera uma crise educacional com impactos negativos na desigualdade social, nos sistemas educacionais e na vida dos estudantes. Além de aumentar os gastos por aluno e contribuir para a violência, a evasão reduz a expectativa de vida. Este estudo busca propor ações práticas para mitigar a evasão, realizando uma revisão bibliográfica dos últimos cinco anos e entrevistando coordenadores de graduação de instituições públicas no Brasil. Foram identificados 54 fatores que influenciam a evasão, levando à proposição de medidas concretas para enfrentar o problema. Espera-se que este trabalho contribua para a redução dos altos índices de evasão e para o avanço do conhecimento científico sobre o tema, promovendo soluções eficazes e sustentáveis.

Danielle de Oliveira Chaves Studying a Professional Master’s Degree in Management Systems at UFF/LATEC – Brazil since 2021. His research interests are in the areas of quality, process management and development. He is currently a scholarship holder in the PROLEM and Assistant in Administration at Universidade Federal Fluminense.
Stella Regina Reis da Costa has received a PhD. in Chemical Engineering from the UFRJ – Brazil (1991). She is a teacher/advisor for the Master’s degree in Management Systems and the Doctorate in Sustainable Management Systems at UFF – Brazil, research in partnership with professors at the University of Aveiro, Portugal and a member of GOVCOPP. Her research interests are in the areas of quality management, management excellence, sustainability and people management.
Mariza Costa Almeida has received a PhD. in Georgia Institute of Technology from the School of Public Policy, is an Associate Professor 1 at UNIRIO – Brazil. She specializes in Production Engineering, focusing on Innovation Management and Technology Economics. Her research interests include the Triple Helix model, Incubators and Technology Parks, Academic and Eco-Entrepreneurship, and Local Development.
