Perceção dos/as estudantes do Instituto Politécnico de Viana do Castelo (IPVC) sobre o uso do ChatGPT
Este estudo analisou as primeiras perceções dos/as estudantes do IPVC sobre o uso do ChatGPT, focando-se no impacto na aprendizagem, na ética académica e na adoção desta tecnologia. Foram exploradas questões sobre a sua utilização, benefícios, preocupações éticas e principais diferenças entre instituições nacionais e internacionais. Os resultados permitiram comparar as respostas dos/as estudantes, analisando, entre outros aspetos, a familiaridade com a ferramenta, a perceção dos benefícios e as preocupações éticas. Além disso, avaliou-se a satisfação geral com o ChatGPT e o seu impacto na experiência académica. Os resultados poderão contribuir para reforçar estratégias pedagógicas e políticas institucionais, promovendo um uso responsável da Inteligência Artificial (IA) no ensino superior.

Tiago Martins, holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics (2022) and a master’s degree in mathematical engineering (2024) from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto. He is currently working as a technician at the Observatory of the Polytechnic Institute of Viana do Castelo (IPVC), where he supports institutional research, data analysis, and the development of strategic indicators. His technical skills include proficiency in Python, R, and data visualization tools. His areas of interest encompass applied mathematics, statistical modeling, Artificial Intelligence and machine learning.
